eHealth

eHealth (also known as remote health or telecare) is seen as central to the future of health services worldwide. The demographic changes in population mean that in the future a smaller number of people in work will need to pay for an ever increasing retired population. The numbers don't work for the healthcare models we have today. eHealth is recognised as the application of technology that can help to monitor people's health to reduce these costs.

EZURiO is working with medical companies to incorporate short range wireless technologies, including Bluetooth and 802.11 into their products to provide a short range wireless link. We're also working on end to end platforms that enable these devices to talk to remote patient databases on the internet. In the future we'll also be providing Wibree solutions that allow the design of ultra low power products which are particularly appropriate for Assisted Living and Dementia Care.
